Paul is the original owner and started Safety First in 2006. Paul is a 30 year member of the Averill Park Fire Department, he has served most of his fire service career in leadership positions including 17 years as chief officer. He is a nationally certified Fire Instructor and National Certified Fire Officer, he is a former NYS State Fire Instructor where he was assigned to Rensselaer County for 12 years. In addition to his fire service career, Paul was employed with Rensselaer County Bureau of Public Safety where he started as 911 dispatcher in 2000 and most recently the Deputy Director of Public Safety. In 2023 Paul accepted a position with NYS DHSES. Paul is also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, he is a Desert Storm Veteran and served with the 10th marines as a radio operator for an artillery battery.
